Work pants

Hi‑vis trousers to EN ISO 20471

EN ISO 20471 specifies requirements for high-visibility clothing, including criteria for fluorescent background materials and retroreflective components to improve visibility day and night.

Which hi‑vis class is required at a workplace depends on the specific task and the risk assessment. When choosing hi‑vis trousers, always check the model’s certification, protection class and product information.

Long hi‑vis work pants for professional use

Long hi‑vis workpants are suitable for many professional uses and can be worn year‑round. They combine the functionality of work pants with the requirements of highly visible safety clothing.

Long hi‑vis trousers are a practical choice for daily gear on construction sites and in trades, industry, traffic, transport and logistics.

Depending on the model, functional details and pockets provide extra convenience on the job. Exact features are listed in the product information.

Short hi‑vis work pants for summer

In hot weather, short Hi‑Vis work pants and safety shorts are an alternative to long pants. They provide more airflow and freedom of movement on warm workdays and are designed for professional use.

High temperatures can add stress when working outdoors. Short work shorts provide a summer-appropriate option without sacrificing the Hi-Vis features specified for each model.

Even with short hi‑vis work pants, the workplace requirements must be observed. Certification and the product’s protection class are decisive.

Hi‑vis work pants for construction and trade

On construction sites and in trades, functional requirements often coincide with the need for good visibility. Hi‑vis work pants can be part of job‑specific protective clothing.

Depending on the task and work environment, you can choose long or short versions. For outdoor work, also consider the weather and any additional required protective equipment.

Appropriate head protection, such as construction helmets and UV protection, can complement work equipment depending on the application.

Hi‑vis trousers for logistics, traffic and industry

Visibility of staff is important in logistics, transport, traffic and industry. In areas with vehicle or machine movement, appropriate hi‑vis clothing may be required according to the risk assessment.

Hi-Vis work pants can be paired with matching tops to create a functional outfit for different working conditions.

The required visibility class should always be determined based on the specific workplace.

Combine hi‑vis work pants with safety jackets and shirts

A hi‑vis work pant can be combined with other hi‑vis pieces for a coordinated work kit. Depending on season and weather, hi‑vis shirts, fleece and softshell garments, hi‑vis jackets and parkas are suitable options.

You’ll find a wide selection of matching tops in the Hi‑Vis workwear category.

When combining different hi‑vis garments, take the product information and the required protection class into account.

Customizing work pants and hi‑vis clothing

Besides safety and function, a unified employee appearance often matters to companies. Depending on product and material, workwear pieces can be customized with a company logo, lettering or other markings.

With certified hi‑vis clothing, take particular care that any customization does not impair the garment’s protective performance or compliance.

Long or short work pants – which option is right?

Whether a long or short hi‑vis workpant is the better choice depends on the workplace, task, weather and applicable safety requirements.

Long safety trousers provide full leg coverage and suit many year‑round applications. Short safety workpants can be a comfortable alternative on warm summer days if appropriate for the task.

Length isn’t the only factor. For safety‑critical workplaces you must always consider EN ISO 20471 certification, the indicated hi‑vis class and the site risk assessment.
