Korntex Hi-Vis Softshell Jacket – 2-in-1 warning protection softshell jacket with removable sleeves
The Korntex Hi-Vis Softshell Jacket combines certified warning protection, weather resistance, and maximum flexibility. Thanks to the removable sleeves the 2-in-1 softshell jacket can be quickly transformed into a warning vest and is perfectly adaptable to changing weather conditions.
For excellent visibility, the warning softshell jacket is equipped with two 5 cm wide segmented reflective strips around the body as well as segmented reflective strips over the sleeves . The flexible reflective strips provide high freedom of movement and meet the requirements of EN ISO 20471 Class 2.
The heat-insulating fleece inner lining ensures comfortable wear on cold days, while the elastic softshell material made of 95% polyester and 5% spandex offers optimal freedom of movement. With a water column of 5,000 mm the jacket reliably protects against wind and light rain.
For safe storage of work utensils, the jacket features two side pockets as well as a chest pocket with zipper.
The material is certified according to STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX® and additionally offers UV protection according to EN 13758-1 with UPF 40+. Making it ideal for outdoor work and demanding outdoor operations.

EN ISO 20471 – High-visibility warning clothing
EN ISO 20471 is the Europe-wide standard for high-visibility warning clothing. It ensures that people can be recognised early in daylight, at dusk and in darkness. High-visibility clothing reduces the risk of accidents and is important wherever employees work near vehicles, machinery or other hazards.
The standard defines requirements for the fluorescent background material, the reflective strips and their arrangement and minimum surface area. Only products that meet these requirements may be certified to EN ISO 20471.
The standard distinguishes between three high-visibility classes:
- Class 1: For work areas with low risk potential and low traffic speeds, for example on company premises or in warehouse areas.
- Class 2: For medium-risk areas such as construction sites, logistics, waste management, industry, municipal services or work on roads with normal traffic volumes.
- Class 3: For work areas with high risk potential, for example road and motorway construction, rail environments, airports or work near fast-moving traffic. This class provides the highest level of visibility.
High-visibility clothing complying with EN ISO 20471 is used by construction companies, road maintenance services, logistics and transport companies, industrial and production facilities, emergency services, municipalities, and energy and waste-management companies, among others. In many sectors, wearing certified high-visibility clothing is required by law or forms part of company safety regulations.
The required high-visibility class always depends on the risk assessment for the specific workplace and the applicable legal and company requirements. Choosing the correct high-visibility clothing is essential for improving visibility and safety in everyday work.
EN 13758 / EN 13758-1 – UV protective clothing
EN 13758 is the European standard for UV protective clothing. It specifies how effectively textiles protect against harmful ultraviolet (UV) radiation. Clothing certified to this standard helps protect the skin from intense sunlight during outdoor work or activities.
EN 13758-1 describes the test methods and material requirements. It determines the Ultraviolet Protection Factor (UPF), which indicates how effectively a fabric blocks UV radiation. The higher the UPF, the better the protection against harmful UV radiation.
UV protective clothing complying with EN 13758 is particularly suitable for people who regularly work outdoors or spend long periods in the sun. Typical applications include construction, road maintenance, logistics, agriculture, gardening and landscaping, municipal services and outdoor leisure activities.
