Ride safer: why a motorcycle high‑visibility vest belongs in your kit
As soon as the first warm days arrive, it is time to put on your helmet, start the bike and set off. But along with the enjoyment comes risk, especially when other road users fail to see you. Visibility is essential for your safety. That is why a well-fitting motorcycle high-visibility vest belongs in the basic equipment for every ride.
We show you what matters and which solutions Korntex has to offer.
🚨 Why is visibility on a motorcycle so important?
Motorcyclists are often overlooked in traffic. Whether changing lanes, riding at dusk or in changeable weather, reflective materials and eye-catching colours can make a crucial difference.
✅ The right motorcycle vest – function meets comfort
The Korntex Hi-Vis Motorcycle Vest Yellow was developed specifically for motorcyclists. It features:
- ergonomic fit for the riding position
- full front opening with zip
- large reflective strips compliant with EN ISO 20471
The vest fits perfectly over any motorcycle jacket without flapping or shifting. Ideal for daily journeys and longer tours.
✨ More visibility by day and night: complementary accessories
Small but effective details help maximise visibility:
- The Korntex Reflective Snap Band is reflective, versatile and ideal for the arm, leg or backpack, including for passengers.
- The Korntex Hi-Vis Mobility Vest Yellow is a slightly longer alternative, particularly suitable for scooter, e-bike and electric motorcycle riders. It is also popular with riding schools.
🧑🏫 Mandatory or optional? What the law says
In Switzerland, wearing a high-visibility vest on a motorcycle is not required by law, but it is strongly recommended, especially for group rides, riding schools or journeys in poor visibility. In several European countries (e.g. France, Italy and Austria), a high-visibility vest must be carried, and in some cases must even be worn.
Korntex offers certified quality and models that are easy to carry and can be put on in seconds.
💡 Conclusion: see and be seen – with Korntex
