EN 17353 – Kleidung mit erhöhter Sichtbarkeit für mittleres Risiko
Die EN 17353 ist die europäische Norm für Kleidung mit erhöhter Sichtbarkeit. Sie richtet sich an Personen, die in Bereichen mit mittlerem Risiko arbeiten oder unterwegs sind, in denen eine bessere Erkennbarkeit wichtig ist, die Anforderungen der EN ISO 20471 jedoch nicht erforderlich sind.
Die Norm kombiniert fluoreszierende Materialien, die die Sichtbarkeit bei Tageslicht verbessern, mit retroreflektierenden Elementen, welche das Licht von Fahrzeugen oder anderen Lichtquellen bei Dunkelheit oder schlechten Sichtverhältnissen reflektieren. Je nach Einsatzbereich kann die Kleidung nur fluoreszierendes Material, nur reflektierende Elemente oder eine Kombination aus beiden enthalten.
Kleidung nach EN 17353 eignet sich unter anderem für Radfahrer, Lieferdienste, Service- und Wartungspersonal, Freizeitaktivitäten sowie Arbeiten auf Betriebsgeländen oder in Bereichen mit geringem bis mittlerem Verkehrsaufkommen. Sie erhöht die Sichtbarkeit und trägt dazu bei, das Unfallrisiko zu reduzieren.
Wichtig: EN 17353 ersetzt die EN ISO 20471 nicht. Für Arbeitsbereiche mit hohem Gefährdungspotenzial oder wenn Warnschutzbekleidung gesetzlich vorgeschrieben ist, muss weiterhin zertifizierte Warnschutzbekleidung nach EN ISO 20471 getragen werden.
